The name of the glaze I used was bright orange, I started with red and white clay I'd layer them and pond them out them layer them up again and repeat the process then I would make the peace let them dry fire them glaze them and then fire them again. my set goes together because there an all orange dining set. My set consists of 3 plates 1 bowl and 2 cups they are all bright orange, I used a technique called marbled clay you take red clay and white clay layer them up and pound them out layer them up and pound it out and do that till it has a nice grain to it, My big idea behind this artwork was to create a functional dining set and id say I accomplished that, my goals for this artwork were to get it done before the end of the school year and I got that done. Overall I like the way the set cam out.

My best art this semester was the steiger in the field, because I like the crispy edges. I would Probably redo my my artist communicate statue because when it was on the shelf to dry someone gralia fisted my pot and messed it up pretty good. I learned that the key to liking a class is make it the way you want it to be. I wish I could have done more welding and steel work in my art classes.
This is my artist communicate statue I wanted something simple, so I started thinking about simple statues and thought of the one in the schools courtyard. I looked at it and noted that it was from the class of 1969. Carter really inspired me with his choice of glaze I thought the multi color glaze was cool so I used the glazes sassy orange, (the multi colored one) Irish luck, and hot tamale red . My statue is supposed to represent that not many make it to the top and that the majority is usually at the bottom, the colors show the different levels. It's also just a nice simple looking statue. I would envision this statue replacing the old and dated statue in the schools courtyard.
The supplies you need to marble clay is red clay white clay and clearcoat. To start with you get thin flat pieces of clay and stack them up like cheese and pound them out slice them down the middle and stack it back on top and pound it out again. Then shape it into any thing you want it to be. This process is really easy and looks pretty cool too. I learned that sometimes simple things can look very nice.
The goal for this artwork was to create a cool looking scene in a field with my big tractor so that's what I did. The first studio habit I used was Envision because honestly that was probably the hardest part of this project. The second studio habit I used was develop craft because Id say that was the second hardest part of this project. The glazes I used sassy yellow, brick, hot tamale, green thumb, blue yonder, sour apple, shinny black and rich chocolate.
The two studio habits I used were develop craft because was probably the hardest part of this artwork. The second studio habit I used was engage and persist because many times the coils wouldn't stick so id have to go back and slip and score it deeper but I got it to work. The glazes I used were dutch blue, opaque white, and celestial blue on the inside. Overall I really like how this artwork came out.
The first studio habit I used was envision because I had to come up with a cool pattern. The next studio habit I used was develop craft because I had to make the slabs which I thought were just gonna fit together all nice but they were way off so we had to do some extreme trimming but I gotter all together. The colors I used were black opal and true red. I think she came out pretty good.
The first studio habit I used was envision because I had to come up with a pattern for the roller, me and good ideas for art are like oil and water, I wanted something that would repeat pretty easily so I decided to go with something simple. The second studio habit I used was develop craft because Using the hot glue gun was difficult because when you pull away it would make small threads of glue and some of the dots hot messed up but I gotter done.
So I started out with two balls of clay pushed my finger into the balls of clay and kept working it like the pinch pots but you make two pinch pots and put them together and you get a hollow ball the rest is all decoration. One studio habit I used was engage and persist because my first ball Stubbs smashed it, to say i was angry was an understatement But I decided to get right back to it and make a new one. The second studio habit I used was envision and I really had to dig deep on this one because its non objective art which I hate to begin with so I just made some lines and colors and I think it looks pretty good. The colors I used were birthday suit, shiny black, hot tamale red and arctic blue.
When I started making these pots I started with just a big ball of clay and stuck my finger right in the middle and just kept working it out until it look like I had envisioned. The studio habits I used were Develop craft and envision because you had to both develop and envision While I was developing I was envisioning, While envisioning I was developing. I think that a my pots are just beautiful and would change a thing about them.
